Low Tide

This is my home, where I grew up. For me, the New Jersey Meadowlands was always more than just another swamp, it was my Nature, and my Backyard. For many years I would drive through it, mystified by its location, stuck in the middle of perhaps the most industrialized area in the country, and just outside NYC. Wondering what was in there, and where was all the wildlife that’s suppose to be lurking around. One day I decided to go looking for it, and it changed my life forever. These images are a culmination

of many years traveling through it’s waterways, mostly by kayak, sometimes on foot. What I found was a genuine beauty despite all the abuse this place has endured
